Coursera welcomes Snowflake and Kotter International to the company

Leading data cloud organization Snowflake joins Coursera with a robust curriculum on data fundamentals, while renowned consulting firm Kotter International provides insights into the dynamics of change.

Introduction to Snowflake for Developers, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers Snowflake Course – This course is available for free on Coursera and is the first in an upcoming series launched by Snowflake as part of their Northstar Builder education program. This course provides foundational skills needed to build with Snowflake and is a prerequisite for upcoming courses in the series. Students will gain an understanding of Snowflake’s architecture, core objects, and key features for builders.

Specialization in the Science of Change From Kotter Training – This new specialization aims to equip learners with a fundamental understanding of transformational leadership, apply individual and organizational change management tools, and discover key insights into human behavior related to transformation. By the end of the course, learners will be able to successfully manage their own transformation initiatives using the presented framework and identify strategies that deliver measurable results.

New professional certifications from Google Cloud, ADP and Microsoft

Coursera’s entry-level professional certificates equip learners of all backgrounds with the skills they need for in-demand entry-level jobs in just a few months, no college degree or industry experience required. We’re excited to introduce our newly launched professional certificates that prepare learners for roles in payroll, cloud data analytics and cybersecurity, and UX design.

ADP Payroll Specialist Entry-Level Professional Certification Learners will gain knowledge of how payroll services function as a strategic business resource. The program will develop a fundamental understanding of payroll terminology, rules, and concepts required to manage the payroll function, including the calculation of earnings, deductions, and taxes. It will also develop key skills for well-rounded development, including customer service, data collection and analysis, and problem solving.

Google Cloud Data Analytics Entry-Level Professional Certification – Google Cloud, a Coursera partner since 2017, launched its first two entry-level professional certifications this quarter. Designed for those starting or transitioning their careers, the programs prepare learners for entry-level roles in cloud data analytics, with optional modules introducing learners to GenAI topics such as large-scale language models and responsible use of AI.

Google Cloud Cybersecurity Entry-Level Professional Certification – Five on-demand courses allow learners to practice key cybersecurity skills and create worked examples to show potential employers. The first four courses build learners’ working knowledge of networks, security models, and tools to assess and address threats, risks, and vulnerabilities. The final project focuses on applying the knowledge and skills acquired, preparing learners to establish a career in the cloud security field.

Microsoft UX Design Entry-Level Professional Certification – This 4-course professional certification provides hands-on projects and expert guidance from conducting user research and creating wireframes to designing high-fidelity mockups and prototypes. This certification is suitable for learners looking to make a career change or those just starting out, providing the foundational knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the field of UX design.

Additionally, Microsoft has launched 10 new short courses covering popular tools such as Azure, Sentinel, and GitHub.
