JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Develops, implements, and monitors accounts receivable procedures, goals and standards designed to meet compliance requirements. Provides quality customer service to clients. Coordinates accounts receivable function to maintain stable cash flow. Processes monthly functions for department. Submits fee for service claims. Coordinates and resolves credentialing issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, implements and monitors accounts receivable procedures, goals and standards designed to meet compliance requirements.
- Maximizes timely reimbursement and provides quality customer service.
- Coordinates accounts receivable functions for client account reps to maintain stable cash flow, reduces days in accounts receivable and meets monthly closing responsibilities based on Centerstone guidelines.
- Submits fee for service claims daily where payer does not restrict to monthly process.
- Processes end of the month functions within requested time frame and coordinates with accounting staff.
- Ensures appropriate follow-up activity on open accounts within the departmental goal of less than 30 days in account receivable.
- Coordinates credentialing issues with Credentialing team to resolve timely.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and computer billing.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level
High School diploma required. College degree preferred.
Years of Experience
Minimum of five years medical third party billing/collection experience required.
