Position: Computer Systems Analyst III Nature of the Role: MIKEL is currently seeking a seasoned Computer Systems Analyst III to provide software development and computer systems support to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC). The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in computer systems analysis and programming, with a proven track record of applying advanced techniques to meet complex organizational needs. This role demands expertise in problem-solving, system design, and technological implementation, with knowledge of the software development lifecycle and web development technologies. Responsibilities: Address and resolve complex computer system issues to support DoD operations and objectives. – Define system goals, decompose solutions into actionable steps, and apply structured analysis and advanced techniques to achieve these goals Define system inputs, design processing workflows, and format outputs to meet user and DoD requirements Identify and specify the hardware and software required for system implementation in a secure and compliant manner Demonstrate proficiency in programming, systems analysis, database management, object-oriented programming, client-server applications, multimedia, and Internet technologies Ensure all solutions align with DoD standards, security requirements, and best practices Approach complex challenges with a high degree of creativity and technical innovation to deliver effective and efficient solutions Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field At least 10 years of relevant experience in computer systems analysis and programming, or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree Experience working on DoD or government projects is preferred Experience with web application development in a Windows environment Proficiency in PHP and ASP.NET Experience with MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Sencha or ReactJS is a plus Knowledge of Java or NodeJS is also a plus Experience in database management and client-server application development Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a high-security environment High level of attention to detail and adherence to security protocols MIKEL offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), 401k Retirement Plan, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Tuition Reimbursement.
