The Role: 

Carrot is seeking a proactive, skilled events leader with a heart for our mission: fertility care for all. As our Director, Events, you will lead our events team through strategic planning and execution of in-person and virtual events. We’re looking for someone with vision and creativity — this role will be responsible for ensuring Carrot consistently shows as a leader in all event settings — as well as an enthusiasm for diving into the numbers and showing event ROI.

As the Events team leader, the Director, Events, will manage core events programs, overseeing our strategy and execution, as well as taking a hands-on role in speaker preparation, content planning, sales handoff, reporting, and more. As a result, strong project management skills and an eye for detail are a must. We’re also looking for someone with ideas to elevate our events program to ensure we’re reaching, educating, and engaging our key audiences at every opportunity. This role is highly collaborative with key stakeholders both inside and outside of the company, including customers, prospects, vendors, and more.

The Director, Events, is a people leader role. Currently, our team is small but mighty and includes two, full-time events managers. This role will lead both of those individuals.

The Team: 

This role sits on our Marketing team, reporting to our VP of Marketing. Currently, our team is small but mighty and includes two, full-time events managers. This role will lead both of those individuals.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years of event marketing experience
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proven success driving both virtual and face-to-face events 
  • Comfort with the ambiguity inherent in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Strong leadership with demonstrated ability to establish credibility among peers and leadership (internally and externally) 
  • Hands on attitude and collaborative team player 
  • Salesforce CRM experience, with an emphasis on leads and campaigns management 
  • Must be willing and able to travel (approximately 25-50%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in digital healthcare and high growth, sales-led environments strongly preferred 
  • Experience working with HLTH, Conference Board, and similar conferences preferred 

Compensation:

The starting base salary for this position will range from $165,000-$180,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
