As Exterior Trim Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Take a leadership role in the packaging, engineering design, release, and launch of exterior trim components.
- Develop innovative exterior systems with a focus on quality, reliability, functionality, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team to prioritize the overall benefit of the vehicle over individual components.
- Utilize and enhance advanced engineering tools to support the development of exterior systems.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle exterior trim design and development.
- Demonstrated experience in creating complex CAD designs, preferably using CATIA V5 or V6.
- Experience with thermoplastic and thermoset resin materials and Class A manufacturing processes, including painting.
- Strong understanding of computational tools used in design engineering.
- Experience in product launch processes.
- Five or more years of experience in plastics design, Class A surfaces, front crash, aerodynamic features, lighting integration, module integration, tooling, etc.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
