Job Description

The Labor and Training Planning and Integration Manager provides dedicated labor support to Emerging Businesses from pre-CAR through operational sustainment ensuring one source/point of integration for all labor strategies and tasks for the overall business and by site in addition to providing strategic direction on training concepts and needs for all Storyliving by Disney™ operations. You will lead multiple projects concurrently with varying timelines, priorities, and levels of engagement within Storyliving by Disney™. You will apply knowledge of labor and training processes as well as the integration of information across the organization and act as a resource for peers and leaders, sharing expertise and best practices to improve the overall operation. This is a Full Time role. This role reports to the Sr. Manager-Emerging Business Operations Integration. You Will: Consult with Operations Leaders and Executives on operating assumptions, workload, processes and workflow, ideation, and best fit solution recommendations by site to develop labor models Analyze workload demand to provide strategic hiring availability recommendations when opening additional Casting requisitions as sites ramp operations and adapt labor models accordingly in partnership with site leadership Analyze attrition, workload variability, and known Operational changes to determine weekly staffing levels and ensure Cast schedules are built and align to workloads/ staffing guides and financials by site line of business Lead schedule production using designated scheduling applications, observing state and federal labor laws, balancing and optimizing business needs with market standards, and Cast satisfaction and retention Ensure application of scheduling standards to increase efficiency, evaluating availability in comparison to demand, to resolve staffing overages/shortages, and lead oversight and compliancy of scheduling consistency Ensure pay practices checks and balances for accuracy and compliancy with federal/state laws while mitigating financial impacts and ensure workloads meet Annual Operating Plan Understand labor system integration and implementation; Select labor systems to best meet business needs; Work within sophisticated technology environments including, but not limited to multiple site/LOB specific labor systems (e.g., GEMS/JEWEL, MyTime, Cast Mobile, etc.), and HR systems (SAP/WorkDay) Understand timing (forecasting) and dependencies to lead business readiness, informing Cast on-boarding and ensuring all scheduling and pay practices are in place Assist in development and sustainment of strategic training plans, for salaried and hourly operations Cast, including creation of assignment profiles, management of training documentation, delivery approach, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Communicate and integrate labor and training concepts and information at all levels of the organization while leading with a continual process improvement approach to optimize connection points, process, and product You Will Have: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Workforce Management Experience in assisting with the development and delivery of training Previous operations experience, preferably in a leadership capacity Strong partnering, consulting, problem solving, and decision-making skills Strong process, organization, and time management skills including balancing and prioritizing multiple priorities with competing timelines Strong technical proficiency, sophisticated skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint Professional and effective verbal and written communication and outstanding Guest service skills Project management skills including defining detailed project timelines and achievable, measurable tasks Experience with framing up strategies for sophisticated issues, influencing senior leaders, and engaging with all levels throughout the organization. Ability to identify, influence and implement opportunities for improvement Handle confidential and regulatory information discreetly and appropriately Work with minimal direction, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals and taking ownership of tasks to see them through to completion Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of salaried operations leadership experience Experience using Smartsheet Understanding of interrelationships across The Walt Disney Company Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related experience Our Benefits: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
