Position Purpose

The Media Planner delivers planning, trafficking, activation and optimization support as part of Sleep Number’s addressable media channel teams. In this role, you will support multiple addressable media channels including Display, Online, Video, Social and Search in partnership with the Media Program Managers and the Creative Team to inspire best in class creative contributions to media activation placements. The Media Planner also supports the stewardship of Sleep Number’s channel media spend by effective planning and superior tactical execution while thinking critically and driving towards desired outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with publishers and agency team to size audiences and opportunities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for agency partner teams
  • Execute asset trafficking and ensure timely and accurate invoice administration with vendors
  • Support targeting strategy including key messages to key audience segments leveraging media
  • Analyze performance, adjust to improve in real time manner and after events
  • Provide intelligence for ad builds
  • Identify opportunities to optimization media and usher changes along to drive the needed impact
  • Manage channel budgets for optimal impact
  • Define key performance indicators and benchmarks

Position Requirements

  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in marketing, specifically media planning nd media trafficking. Prior marketing or advertising agency experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Analytical skills, including an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience with search engine marketing
  • Experience with media budgets exceeding $10 million
  • Working understanding of the addressable media ecosystem
  • Values test and learn approach and in innovation priorities
  • Ability to navigate nimble and fast moving workstreams
  • Natural curiosity and appetite for driving outcomes
  • Passion for wellness and health

Working Conditions

Sleep Number offers a hybrid work environment providing the flexibility and balance of a blend of remote work and onsite collaboration at Sleep Number’s corporate Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bi-annual travel may be required.
