Job Description
Harbor is seeking a Metatagger Specialist to work remotely on an exciting information management initiative within a large US-based technology organization as it centralizes its vast content holdings into an integrated AI-based ecosystem.
This position will play a pivotal role in streamlining and standardizing cataloguing and meta-tagging from multiple systems as part of evolving AI solutions being integrated to maximize content organization and overall user experience. This role will be at the intersection of Technology, Engineering and Information Management and must be exceptionally organized and capable and the ideal candidate will have prior digital asset organization, taxonomy and metadata experience and understand and advocate for the user experience when they interact with systems and content.
This role will collaborate closely with client and contractor cross-functional team to maintain steady and effective progress toward all project goals. This is a remote position, and candidates can be located anywhere in the US but will be required to time-shift as needed to coordinate/collaborate with other project colleagues across multiple time zones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is required; MLS/MLIS degree a plus
- Experience with Digital Asset Management software, taxonomy and metadata standards
- Prior experience with tools such as Mondeca, Semaphore, Visual Studio, Data Lakes, XML markup as well as working with and editing PDF’s with Adobe Pro, PoolParty certification a plus
- Excellent comprehensive, verbal and written communications skills
- Comfortable distilling complex content information into small synapses of relevant data and dissect and extract key metadata into specific fields
- Strengths will be in both qualitative review and overall quality control, accuracy and consistency
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
- Capable of meeting deadlines and deliverables and making regular, meaningful progress toward goals while remaining meticulous, careful and consistent
- 2 – 4 years prior relatable experience a plus
