Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Taking over coordination of Nozzle tooling tickets currently in WIP (e.g., for laser trip fixtures, laser weld fixtures, rolling carts, mandrel, leak checks, waterflow, etc.)
- Taking over weekly Nozzle tooling tagup mtg with team to review status/priority/issues with the tickets in the above bullet
- Working with MCC Manufacturing Engineers to document the tools we currently use for MCC assembly.
- We need to document what we have, identify which tools we want to use again, which tools we want to upgrade, which tools may have not gotten the rigor in design/analysis we might have wanted, and any other MCC tooling needs, and translate these into tooling tickets. If there’s enough there, set up a regular meeting with MCC focals (like the existing weekly Nozzle Tooling meeting) to drive & manage progress.
- Taking the Nozzle and MCC tooling projects for Kent, and translating that into what we will need for HSV, coordinating with folks at the HSV factory, sketching up timelines for design release and procurements.
- Delegating tasks to Tooling Engineers and Technical Designers who support Combustion Devices.
- Weekly report status & needs to Project Team Lead
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Aerospace or automotive machine tooling and assembly tooling development experience, or similar
- Experience in different operating environments including research & development, as well as production
- Experience coordinating or managing small projects from the technical leadership side of things
- Comfortability leading communication with multiple teams to make the product better
- Excellent communication skills
Salary Range: $90K-140K
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

Location: On-site in Huntsville, Alabama is preferred. For candidates that meet all qualifications, remote with travel may be considered.
