They participate in the implementation of new products, design improvements, released product engineering, and other corrective and preventive action in accordance with Electromed’s documented Quality Assurance procedures. They also work closely with manufacturing to transition design to manufacturing and may evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability. They may collaborate with external consultants to complete specific project tasks and must also be capable of working independently toward agreed project goals and objectives. Works under general supervision. This is an onsite position based in New Prague, MN. Job Outcomes You Must Get: Strong product development process experience Microprocessor and DSP Control PWM BLDC Motor Control Software programming and configuration management knowledge preferred Integrated Machine and Motion Control Printed Circuit Board Design – schematic capture, board layout, simulation tools Knowledge of wireless design – WiFi, BLE, etc. Experience with Medical Device development and regulatory requirements Knowledge of test equipment and tools – oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, LabVIEW Job Outcomes Requirements: Requires a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires 6 -10 years of experience in electromechanical circuit development. Direct technical knowledge in the design, assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning of PLC-based control systems. Knowledge of Durable Medical Device manufacture. Knowledge of automation control systems. Knowledge of Human Factors Interface (HFI). Knowledge of BLDC motor and controls Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills. Realizing design input requirements into innovative, effective, and reliable solutions Proficient in applying IEC/UL/CSA 60601-1 (3rd Edition) and ISO 13485 to design solutions. Support continuation and development projects utilizing ISO 14971 Risk Management methodology. This is an onsite position based in New Prague, MN. Be You.
