Transportation Engineer – Project Manager Job Summary: A premier engineering firm located in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a transportation infrastructure program in Colorado Springs. The candidate will possess a proven track-record of project development and project management, including managing engineering consultants and contractors. If you’re a seasoned Transportation Engineer looking to join a strong organization with a positive, people-first culture, who is dedicated to their employees and their families, then let’s talk Key Responsibilities – Transportation Engineer Review studies, concept designs, and other pertinent information. Develop RFP’s for design and construction management services. Participate in construction committees and assist in finalizing contracts, including detailed scopes of work, schedules, and fees. Provide ongoing review and evaluation of design consultants for compliance and specifications. Develop and maintain a Public Information and Involvement Plan during design and construction phases of projects. Prepare periodic reports, review invoices, facilitate permit processing, and ensure all necessary permits are obtained. Monitor and evaluate project schedules, coordinate with nearby projects, and manage close-out procedures. Qualifications B.S or M.S Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) License in Colorado, or able to obtain PE or reciprocity within 6 months of starting employment. 5 years of civil project management experience Strong knowledge of roadway, bridge, and drainage technical aspects of municipal projects. Proficiency with essential software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Benefits and Compensation: $115-165k depending on experience and licensure. Bonus opportunities.
