Bray Leino Events has been awarded a full operational services contract by the UK Department of Business and Trade (DBT) for the 2025 Osaka World Expo.

The International Events and Experiences Agency was selected following a competitive bidding process.

The agreement will see Bray Leino Events provide all operational services for the UK Pavilion at Osaka Expo 2025, including:

  • Planning and delivering a full conference and events programme to promote British culture, business, education and sport throughout the six-month Expo, including a full site takeover for Britain’s National Day
  • Managing and delivering the UK Pavilion’s retail functions (including staffing, product design, sourcing and supply chain management)
  • Showcasing British food and drink through hospitality offerings in the UK Pavilion’s restaurants and bars
  • General recruitment and support services across the UK’s Osaka 2025 World Expo activities

We leverage our extensive international partnerships and network of expertise in the Asia Pacific region to deliver all elements of your project.

Bray Leino Events has partnered with world-renowned restaurant group Mosimann’s to ensure the food and drink at the UK Pavilion represents the best that the UK has to offer, while the Expo’s specialist partner, Osaka-based operational support company Beyond Limits, will provide a range of local staffing options.

“This latest order follows our being appointed last year as DBT’s lead events delivery partner for its professional, ministerial and trade events taking place in the UK and overseas over the next three years.”

With over 50 years of live events delivery expertise and 15 years of experience as a key live events partner to the public sector, Bray Leino Events has delivered projects for high profile organisations such as the NHS, The Royal Mint, the RAF, the UK Space Agency, Government Communications Headquarters and 10 Downing Street.

Work is well underway on the 155-hectare Yumeshima site in Osaka ahead of the Expo’s opening on 13 April next year. UK participation alongside 160 other countries will give British businesses the opportunity to showcase their products and services on the world stage. It is expected that Yumeshima will attract more than 28 million visitors over the six-month period of Osaka Expo 2025.

Luke Brown, MD of Bray Reino Events, said:“We are honoured to have been selected as the provider of UK activities for Osaka Expo 2025. Our focus now is to provide a benchmark of creativity and execution on the world stage – celebrating all that makes Britain great.”

Kate Cox, CEO of Bray Reino Events, said: “The Bray Reino Events team is going from strength to strength. We are already a trusted and proven public sector partner when it comes to large-scale international events, and the Expo is another opportunity to demonstrate that quality and professionalism. We look forward to making this Expo one that will live long in people’s memories.”
