How to Search Multiple Job Titles at Once

Stop searching one title at a time.

Most people can do more than one job. A support rep can coordinate projects. A bookkeeper can run payroll. A teacher can train adults. Yet almost every job board makes you search one job title, read the list, then start over for the next one. This guide shows you how to search multiple job titles at once, why it is worth doing, and how to do it in one search with the Job Mixtape on EarnHire.

Why one title at a time wastes your search

Searching title by title has three problems:

  • You repeat yourself. Same location, same filters, same scroll, three or four times over.
  • You lose the comparison. By the time you finish the third search, you have forgotten what the first one looked like.
  • You miss the overlap. The jobs that fit two of your titles at once are often the best fits you have, and a one-title search never shows them side by side.

In 2026, nobody has one job title anymore. Your search should not pretend you do.

The old workaround: Boolean search

On most boards, the only way to search several titles together is a Boolean string, something like:

"customer success" OR "account manager" OR "client services"

It works on some sites and breaks on others. Quotes, capital OR, parentheses: one typo and you get nothing, or everything. Even when it works, you get one blended list with no way to see which title each job came from.

It is a fine trick to know. It is not a great way to spend your break.

How the Job Mixtape works

The Job Mixtape is EarnHire's multi-title search. Only on EarnHire. You build it right in the search bar:

  1. Type a job title. For example, "Customer Success."
  2. Add it to the mix. Tap the + button or type a comma. The title becomes a colored chip and the box clears for the next one.
  3. Add more titles. Type "Data Analyst," tap +, then "Project Coordinator." Once you have a title in the mix, pressing Enter adds the next one too. You can mix from two to five titles.
  4. Add a location if you want one. A city, or "remote."
  5. Hit Search. All your titles run as one search.

Made a mistake? Tap the x on a chip to remove it, or press Backspace in an empty box to drop the last one.

Reading your results: lanes and crossovers

Your results come back organized, not blended:

  • A Mixtape header. Each title's share of the results, plus how many crossover jobs turned up.
  • Crossovers, pinned first. Jobs that fit two or more of your titles. These are the gold. More on them in What Is a Crossover Job?
  • One lane per title. Each title gets its own colored lane with its own job count. Lanes open with the top matches, and Show all expands the rest.

The filters you already use still work: remote, salary and date posted apply across every lane. If a filter empties a lane, the lane says so, so you know it is the filter and not the market.

Share your Mixtape

Every Mixtape has its own link. After you search, the address bar shows something like:

earnhire.com/?mix=customer-success,data-analyst,project-coordinator

Copy it and send it to a friend, a mentor or your career coach. Anyone who opens it sees the same titles mixed, with live results. Bookmark it and you can rerun the same Mixtape tomorrow in one tap.

You can also save a share image of your Mixtape: your titles, how many jobs each one found, and your top crossover job.

How to pick titles that mix well

A Mixtape is only as good as the titles in it. A few ways to build one:

  • Your current title plus where you want to go. "Retail Store Manager + Operations Coordinator + Training Specialist." This is a career change in one search. See How to Change Careers Without Starting From Scratch for picking the targets.
  • The same job under different names. Employers name roles differently. "Customer Success Manager," "Account Manager" and "Client Services Manager" often describe similar work.
  • Your skill in different industries. "Medical Billing + Insurance Verification + Accounts Receivable."
  • A main job plus a side option. "Bookkeeper + Payroll Specialist" for full-time, or a remote title next to a local one.

Keep each title short and real. "Data Analyst" beats "data analyst entry level remote Excel." Put the location in the location box and let the filters do the rest.

Mixtape ideas to start with

Try one of these, then swap in your own titles:

  • Customer Success + Data Analyst + Project Coordinator. For organized people who like both clients and spreadsheets.
  • Customer Service + Bilingual + Scheduling Coordinator. For people with a second language and front-desk skills. See our bilingual jobs guide.
  • Medical Assistant + Patient Coordinator + Medical Receptionist. Healthcare roles that share a lot of the same day-to-day work.
  • Warehouse Associate + Forklift Operator + Inventory Clerk. Same building, different lanes, sometimes different pay.
  • Executive Assistant + Office Manager + Operations Coordinator. For the person who already runs everything.

Turn a Mixtape into applications

The search is the start. Here is the routine:

  1. Start with the crossovers. They fit more of your background, so they are usually the strongest place to apply first.
  2. Pick three to five jobs. Across all lanes, not just one.
  3. Tailor your resume to each one. A crossover job asks for a mix of skills, so lead with the overlap. On EarnHire, tap Tailor resume on any listing. How to Tailor Your Resume to Any Job walks through what to change.
  4. Apply on the employer's site. Then come back tomorrow and run the same Mixtape link.

Build your Mixtape

Type your first title on the EarnHire home page, tap +, add the next, and hit Search. Or start from a ready-made mix: Customer Success + Data Analyst + Project Coordinator. Searching is free, and a free account includes two tailored resumes a month.
