Position Summary:

You will be responsible for managing a variety of phone calls including appointment scheduling, customer service, call screening and call forwarding for healthcare clients including private practices, hospitals and hospice services. You will be expected to communicate effectively, professionally and compassionately while maintaining a positive customer service attitude in all interactions.

Job Description:

  • Maintain call control while providing superior and efficient service
  • Use an appropriate tone of voice and convey empathy and compassion when appropriate
  • Follow account-specific instructions including scripted wording, appointment scheduling, call transfers, and more.
  • Write down accurate and important information
  • Escalate issues appropriately
  • Communicate effectively and professionally

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays and split shifts
  • Ability to type 30 words per minute with 94% accuracy
  • Computer proficiency, ability to operate multiple systems and monitors.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to handle large numbers of callers
  • Quiet work-from-home environment
  • Internet requirements:
    • Internet Connection Type: Fiber or Cable Internet Service Provider (Satellite, DSL, WiFi not supported)
    • High-speed internet (upload speed 10Mb or more, download speed 50Mb or more)
    • Ability to connect directly to your router/model using an Ethernet cable (Ethernet cable provided)

Desired skills:

  • A desire to help people get through life’s often stressful events
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service in the healthcare industry
