[Hiring] Environmental artist @OCP Earnhire

OCP is looking for an Environment Artist (senior or above)

As Senior Environmental Artist At OCP, your focus will be on modeling and texturing imaginative and dynamic environments and props. You’ll spend the majority of your time creating 3D assets and welcome the opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues across the design, gameplay and art teams. You’re used to giving and receiving regular feedback, so you’re comfortable communicating and deciding the future direction of OCP’s look, feel and player experience.

We are seeking candidates at a senior level or above (e.g. staff or principal) for this role.

what will you do:

  • You will work with the Art Director and team to develop and contribute to workflow standards including concepting, modeling, UV mapping, texturing, and lighting.

  • Contribute to an asset pipeline that supports powerful and versatile visual styles

  • Participate in constructive feedback sessions and maintain high quality standards in your own and your colleagues’ work.

  • You will collaborate with a range of technical and creative colleagues to set the art direction for ambitious projects that can be delivered on time.

Must have:

  • Expert in using Maya, Max and Blender for modeling, retopology and other core game art tasks

  • Experts in importing and displaying assets in Unreal Engine 5

  • Advanced organic modeling skills in ZBrush or equivalent

  • Advanced Texturing Skills in Adobe Substance Painter

  • Advanced/specialized level knowledge of environment and prop textures, materials, and lighting.

  • A strong portfolio of game-oriented modeling work with a focus on high-quality environments

  • Ability to follow concept art and art direction

  • Use, improve or establish best practices for your environmental asset pipeline

  • Ability to understand 3D art principles and implement them effectively

  • Experience working with a diverse art team to solve visual problems.

  • Self-management ability, time management ability, ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Good to have:

  • Experience authoring Nanite and Lumen assets in production

  • Comfortable authoring materials in UE5

  • Comfortable substance and texture creation with Substance Designer
