In the Mobile Hydraulics division, we are looking for dynamic, creative individuals to join our growing team. Bosch Rexroth is looking for individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong drive to win. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by the sense of accomplishment of expanding our aftermarket products to maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) for end user customers, OEM services, resellers and other sales channels in mining service applications.

This role will work out of a regional sales office or head office depending on location. Head office location must be within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • As an Aftermarket Sales Engineer/Specialist you will focus on developing, implementing and managing dedicated mining services sales.
  • Define and track specific growth metrics and maintain an activity list.
  • Analysis of market potential and mapping, definition of strategic approach and description of business model.
  • Manage all aspects of the MRO sales cycle within the US Territory, including defining target customers, developing annual sales forecasts and maintaining monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts.
  • Responsible for planning, conducting and documenting customer visits, identifying potential opportunities and following up on required activities.
  • Depending on the size and complexity of the account, you will conduct sales visits to 20-30 targeted accounts where Rexroth products or competitor products are installed to achieve sales growth targets for Rexroth hydraulic aftermarket products.
  • Build and maintain close relationships.
  • We develop “discovery accounts” (calls to unlisted accounts) each year and proactively and aggressively pursue new MRO business growth.
  • Providing hydraulic technical and application expertise and commercial support.
  • Proactively address and resolve customer issues with support from management.
  • The candidate must be able to actively engage and interact with C-suite executives, senior engineering, technical personnel, procurement and manufacturing personnel.
  • Carrying out marketing activities for mining services, adapting global sales marketing materials or creating new marketing materials.
  • Develop and implement social selling activities (with marketing support).
  • Plans, prepares for and organizes mining services conferences, prepares for and participates in industry trade shows and campaign shows and performs booth duties.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, etc. as required.
  • Communication between all involved parties (customer, factory, industry, service product management, etc.) Aftermarket Sales Engineer/Specialist acts as a bridge between the customer, back office and operations.
  • Consistently and effectively use CRM to document routine sales opportunity/account activity, customer information, opportunity tracking, quoting, account development, sales funnel forecasting, and coordinate required sales activities between regional sales, division/market sales, and management.
  • Maintain files and prepare and submit calls, itineraries and expense reports in a timely manner as required.
  • Domestic travel up to 50% within U.S. territories.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Technical field with at least 5 years experience in selling relevant mining services. orAssociate’s degree in a technical field and seven years of related experience selling mining services OR High School Diploma* and ten years of related experience selling mining services.
  • Experience working in either local sales, aftermarket sales or major market segments.
  • Travel required – approximately 50% per year.
  • Must have sufficient motor skills to work safely in a manufacturing environment requiring the ability to ascend and descend machinery, multiple stairs and steps.
  • Basic fluid mechanics knowledge is desirable
  • Able to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • A self-starter with strong prioritization skills and a willingness to work independently.
