The RetailNext Go-to-Market team is looking for a Retail Engagement Analyst to help maintain our leadership in retail analytics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of companies, from large traditional brands to digital natives, to help them understand shopper behavior and optimize consumer experiences through big data analytics.
Primary Responsibilities:
Data Expertise and Retail Engagement Management:
- Analyze data on shopper movement to uncover insights and develop new methodologies where necessary. Visualize data to understand shopper behavior within your retail space.
- Evaluate current processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency. Identify challenges in data, project scope, or timelines and provide thoughtful solutions.
- Collaborate with R&D and product teams to develop new features. Integrate new datasets such as CRM and beacon data into analytics to enrich insights.
- Understand key data points from customers and manage floor plans to collect required data. Lead weekly working sessions to help customers understand and act on data insights. Onboard new users as needed and manage the lifecycle of each customer.
- Work with the account team to assist with zone maintenance and video map development. Work with internal teams to support customer needs and act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing and following up on customer concerns promptly.
- Drives use and adoption of the platform and data. Builds and nurtures relationships with other departments within the client organization. Provides ongoing education, communication and relationship management.
- Discover additional use cases and review customer data with the insights team to ensure the success of lab projects.
- Assist with escalation and problem management as needed.
Project Initiatives:
- As a technical liaison for the consulting and account teams, you will translate client requests into technical scope and output into insights into shopper behavior.
- We use quantitative analysis and data visualization to tell the story behind the numbers and provide actionable recommendations.
- Attend conference calls and meetings with clients to understand their needs and explain results and methodologies. Work with account teams to help clients operationalize data for strategic decision making. Lead quarterly business reviews.
Eligibility:
- 2+ years of experience in analytics and insights, presenting findings to cross-functional teams and clients.
- Ability to partner with clients to translate strategic objectives and data points.
- Possess strong critical thinking skills, can work independently and handle ambiguity.
- Knowledge of Tableau or other visualization tools is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience building collaborative relationships.
- Experience presenting complex data and recommendations to clients is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- A plus but not required: Experience analyzing large datasets using Python, R, or other programming language (Python preferred).
