As a Product Manager for Grafana Labs, you will develop the vision and strategy for your product domain. You will be responsible for the product roadmap, collateral, market research and work with Grafana leadership to fine-tune product goals. You will be a key advocate and expert in your field, with excellent ability to effectively communicate needs, features and details to both external customers and internal stakeholders. The team and people you will be interacting with are 100% remote and distributed across the globe, so strong and proactive communication is essential.
As a Product Manager, you are the bridge that connects Engineering, Design, and Product Design to market. As a facilitator to ensure the free flow of information between these teams, you will be technically proficient in introducing our products to customers.

You will be a Product Manager on a shared team at Grafana Labs, building key features that are core to our users’ key workflows across internal and external adoption.
Grafana Sharing and exporting features We will enable users to collaborate and deliver Grafana content to their audiences, which can include anything from embedding visualizations in other applications to creating reports for executives. We will also create a query library to allow users to reuse complex queries related to data exploration and troubleshooting, allowing them to share queries across the organization. Finally, we will improve tooling such as: Correlation It helps users link from one type of data to another and is essential for exploring complex infrastructures and different types of telemetry.
The engineering team you will be working with is relatively new, so there is a huge opportunity to improve the query and sharing experience for our users. You will gain deep knowledge of customer needs in this space, and the existing landscape of open source and commercial solutions. You will define the vision for the future and design new sharing integrations and intuitive query workflows to help users solve problems faster. You will be responsible for integrating this vision into our customers’ observability journey, driving broader adoption and contributing to the overall growth of Grafana.
As a Product Manager for Grafana Labs, you will be responsible for:
- Translate ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap
- Empathize with customer problems to gather user needs, requirements, and pain points
- Communicate user feedback appropriately to engineering, providing evidence to support trade-offs and prioritization.
- You will work closely with Product Marketing to develop documentation, blog posts, website content, datasheets and whitepapers whilst educating Go-To-Market teams on the unique differentiation of our tracing platform.
- Leverage deep product expertise to guide decisions on go-to-market strategy, pricing, packaging, licensing, and tiering.
Here’s what we expect from you:
- 2+ years of experience in product management
- Experience shipping B2B SaaS software to customers
- Willingness to tackle complex solutions and work with highly technical products and customers.
- Experience working with the product design department to create a comfortable user experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with engineering teams to design and build products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience in growth product management: measurement, experimentation, multivariate testing
- Experience working with or using Grafana Labs open source projects or products
- Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies
- Experience with both SaaS and self-managed products
In Canada, the base pay for this role is CAD 146,409 – CAD 175,691. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience and skillset as assessed during the interview process. Benefits include stock, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits as listed. here.
