We have been recognized multiple times as one of Inc’s Best Workplaces. As a fast-growing company backed by The Carlyle Group and Norwest Venture Partners, YipitData is driven by a people-first culture rooted in mastery, ownership, and transparency.
With offices in New York, Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, Seattle, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Singapore, we continue to expand our reach and impact across global markets.
About The Role:
We are looking for a Business Operations Manager to help lead and support important company-wide initiatives that impact overall company efficiency, profitability, and ARR growth. This role will report to our Chief of Staff and collaborate across several departments to find areas where teams can streamline processes, ramp up efficiency, or expedite core company initiatives.
This is a remote-friendly opportunity that can sit in NYC (where our headquarter is located), one of our office hubs (Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, or Seattle), or anywhere else in the US. However, depending upon where the remote work is performed, income could be subject to New York State tax withholding. Please note that we pay NYC-based salaries for US roles regardless of where employees choose to work.
In This Role, You Will:
- Be the primary owner of high-priority company initiatives by project managing initiatives and offering teams additional bandwidth as needed to execute on these initiatives.
- Become a trusted and reliable resource for internal and external stakeholders by working closely with them to problem-solve, streamline communications and resolve roadblocks with internal teams or external partners.
- Help streamline internal processes by closely working with involved stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity to improve processes and workflows to make them more efficient and scalable.
- Collaborate with the Chief of Staff on communications relating to company strategy by supporting the preparation of board materials, company-wide communications and presentations, and OKR and initiative progress updates.
- Monitor progress of company initiatives by measuring key performance indicators including cost and performance metrics, ensuring the business is on track to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
- Assist with board-level communications including helping in the preparation and coordination of input for board decks and related preparation for board meetings.
You Are Likely To Succeed If:
- You have a strong ownership mentality and can proactively drive initiatives forward without constant oversight.
- You have an ability to manage multiple competing projects and prioritize them according to impact and urgency.
- You are able to effectively collaborate cross-functionally to push projects forward, not letting things slip even when there are competing constraints and obstacles.
- You have strong judgment and are able to consider the context and individuals involved as a factor in your decision-making process.
- Your communication is clear and concise and you have the ability to clearly explain your ideas to others and listen to feedback, discerning what’s most important.
- You are a methodical problem solver, identifying problems and finding solutions quickly and thoughtfully.
- You have the ability to codify processes or create systems for organizing teams and workflows that are scalable.
- You are enthusiastic about making a big impact at a rapidly growing company in a growing function and enjoy working cross-functionally.
Required Skills
- 4-6+ years work experience in an operational or strategy-based role.
- Experience acting as a project manager for cross-functional projects or initiatives.
- Prior experience in an operations, strategy role, or management consulting.
What We Offer:
Our compensation package includes comprehensive benefits, perks, and a competitive salary:
- We care about your personal life and we mean it. We offer flexible work hours, flexible vacation, a generous 401K match, parental leave, team events, wellness budget, learning reimbursement, and more!
- Your growth at YipitData is determined by your impact, not by tenure, unnecessary facetime, or office politics. Everyone at YipitData is empowered to learn, self-improve, and master their skills in an environment focused on ownership, respect, and trust.
- The annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $120,000-145,000, with bonus, as well as equity. The final offer may be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal team benchmarks.
This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States. Please note that our US headquarters are located in NYC. We also have office hubs in Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, and Seattle. If the remote work is performed outside of these offices, income may be subject to New York State tax withholding.
Please note that for this position, we are not able to consider candidates who currently or in the future will require visa sponsorship.
We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
