Job Description

 Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network of clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, the Visa Advisory team solves the most strategic problems for our clients. 

The North America Consulting and Analytics Practice within the Visa Advisory team provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers, co-brand, merchants, and fintechs in the United States and Canada. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth, and improve profitability. The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments, and managing risk. 

The Strategy and Operations (S&O) team supports the North America VCA team through setting standards, developing foundational processes, and driving operational performance for the consulting organization. 

The Intern, Thought Leadership & Learning role will work on strategic and operational projects that have a large impact on our employee success, with a particular focus on all things related to thought leadership, communications, and training & development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Help drive both day-to-day communications and high-visibility campaigns in support of the Advisory Service teams 
  • Create and edit a variety of written materials, including but not limited to newsletters, press releases, thought leadership, blog posts, paid editorial and case studies 
  • Have a digital first mindset and collaborate with the digital content team to leverage social media channels for campaign amplification 
  • Ability to use various tools and methods to collect, process, and interpret data 
  • Oversee the daily operations of the VCA NA thought leadership program including coordination with design vendors, routing for approvals, and preparing communications plans designed to amplify content for maximum reach 
  • Support execution and delivery of key learning and development programs for VCA NA including onboarding, Lunch & Learn program, mentorship programs, live learning sessions, and maintenance of digital and self-paced learning materials 
  • Provide timely and effective responses to ad hoc operational support questions, ensuring that key processes and systems function smoothly and efficiently 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a graduation date in December 2025 or later; less than 2 years of relevant experience. Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professional judgment.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working within a communications organization developing external-facing communications 
  • Experience working in a consulting organization 
  • Creative thinker with a results orientation who approaches any challenge with thoughtfulness, drive, and appropriate urgency 
  • Aptitude to grasp new and complex concepts quickly 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (highly proficient with PowerPoint, Work, Excel, and Outlook) 
  • Ability to multitask, navigate through ambiguity and pivot quickly when priorities change 
  • Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts – works well with people of varying backgrounds and personalities, building partnerships 
  • A great team member who adds energy, ideas and fun to our team and corporate culture 

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated hourly range for a new hire into this position is $27.00 – $30.00 which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department 

This is a hybrid position: Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs. 

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time. 

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
