Job Description Job Description Electrical Power Engineer Job Type: Full Time, On-Site Overview: Southern Integrated Solutions & Consulting (SISC) is looking for a full time Senior Electrical Power Engineer with extensive experience and a profound understanding of electrical power engineering. This role is designed for a professional poised to lead complex projects in the design, analysis, and commissioning of LV and MV electrical equipment, especially in the oil & gas and heavy industry sectors. The candidate should demonstrate a high level of expertise, leadership, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities: Lead and manage complex electrical power engineering projects with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong leadership and technical acumen. Develop, review, and approve critical electrical power engineering deliverables, including: One Line Diagrams Electrical Load Lists Equipment Specifications and Data Sheets (Transformers, Switchgears, etc.) Design of MCC, Switchgear, and Power Distribution Systems Cable Sizing & Routing Earthing and Lightning Protection System Designs Electrical Layout Plans (Substation Layout, Cable Tray Layout, etc.) Hazardous Area Classifications and Selection of Ex-Rated Equipment Power Systems Studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Harmonic Analysis) Relay Coordination Studies and Settings Participate in critical studies and reviews like HAZOP, LOPA, and other risk assessments. Oversee the preparation, evaluation, and management of electrical requisition documentation, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews. Direct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for complex electrical systems. Conduct and supervise comprehensive field surveys to document and assess existing conditions. Provide expert collaboration with project teams, clients, and suppliers to resolve complex technical electrical power challenges. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry. Eligibility to work in the United States (US Citizen or Green Card holder). PE Registration, or the ability to obtain it within 12 months, preferred. Hard Skills: Extensive experience in electrical power engineering, with a strong focus on LV and MV systems. Deep understanding and practical application of industry codes and standards. Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting wiring, fiber optics, and power design on-site. Proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical engineering simulation software. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Soft Skills: Ability to manage and lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical oversight. Strong analytical skills to resolve complex electrical power challenges in collaboration with project teams and clients. Clear communication with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure alignment and resolution of technical issues.
