Job Description

SPRCHRGR (pronounced “supercharger”) is a consultancy providing highly skilled team members across a variety of complementary disciplines.  Our services include expert-level accounting and finance strategy, reporting, data visualization and analysis, business process streamlining, customized technology solutions, executive search, and more.  We say, “cut out the vowels, get there faster!” – which is essentially what we help businesses do, get to their goals faster.

Growing companies must look forward to manage cash burn and anticipate future capital needs. Solid financial projections rely on thoughtful bookkeeping to inform insightful assumptions and give business owners visibility around varying profit margins, costs, cash flow timing, and other KPIs. 

As a CFO you will use your technical analysis skills, financial leadership, strategic thinking, and modeling ability to help our clients look forward by working alongside our Accounting Operations team to “Supercharge” (hence SPRCHRGR) their businesses.  It will afford you a high degree of flexibility, the ability to focus on CFO-level work, an opportunity to work with exciting companies, and a support network of financial professionals.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage finance and accounting functions
  • Provide business analysis on companies operations and product results
  • Direct all accounting functions, including payroll, account receivables/collections, expense processing, taxes, and revenue recognition and reporting (working with our Accounting Operations team, as necessary)
  • Provide leadership needed to plan and grow profit efficiently, including developing budgets and providing accurate projections in support of business strategy.
  • Present timely and valid interpretation of operating results
  • Responsible for overall fiscal operations: directing internal financial programs and procedures. and maintaining useful relationships with outside partners and vendors
  • Provide ongoing financial analysis and modeling to a range of company leaders in support of key business decisions
  • Provide sound leadership in complying with financial and legal requirements
  • Develop short-range and long-range financial plans to achieve established corporate goals
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Operations team on technical finance and accounting challenges
  • Committed to working at least 25+ hours a week (FT roles are available)

Minimum Credentials

  • 15+ years in a financial role with at least 5+ years as a finance leader
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Excel – at a minimum, you must be highly proficient with – Pivot Tables, Data Tables, formulas, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, XIRR. VBA macro writing is a plus
  • Experience working with venture-backed, private equity, and start-up companies
  • Strong understanding of equity and debt financing
  • Proven track record in successfully supporting growth using strong analytical skills and effective financial modeling and tracking
  • Experience leading financial budgeting and financial planning process
  • Ability to oversee, review, and direct corporate accounting functions
  • Solid understanding of financial compliance requirements and experience implementing and managing financial policies
  • High level of energy and ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic business environments

Proficient in

General ledger accounting fundamentals, Financial Modeling, Numerical Reasoning, Financial Analysis, Due Diligence, FP&A, Microsoft Excel, Cloud-based software, learning new tools & processes

Compensation

  • Salary range of $160K to $200K per year
  • 401K w/ up to 4% match (no vesting)
  • 100% remote, always

  • The work is performed M-F, between 8 AM to 5 PM PST hours
  • We can provide you with a laptop and necessary hardware/software
