Your Mission: Embark on an exciting journey as a senior-level DevSecOps Engineer, specializing in High Performance Computing (HPC) and shaping the future of our infrastructure This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in classified areas, managing thousands of servers (compute nodes) across numerous computing clusters. In this senior level DevSecOps Engineer role, you will lead systems architecture design and implementation for our HPC team. This role will focus on the design and implementation of bare-metal system provisioning at scale, Compute / storage solutions, and overall IT generalist subject matter expertise. Key Responsibilities: High customer engagement: Work with engineers, developers, and scientists across multiple departments to deliver innovative capabilities and ensure seamless integration with their workflows. Build and support HPC and Kubernetes environments: Work in a collaborative setting to construct and maintain multiple HPC and Kubernetes environments using DevSecOps-focused architecture. Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Provide subject matter expertise and leadership in scripting and programming utilizing IaC principles. Work with various container runtimes and Kubernetes distributions: Deploy applications across the environment using multiple container runtimes and Kubernetes distributions. Partner with development teams: Work with various development teams to help optimize their CI/CD pipelines, ensuring they can fully leverage the available infrastructure. Why Join Us? Basic Qualifications: Active Secret Clearance is required for this role and you will need the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, and customers’ acceptance Minimum of 7 years of overall IT experience, with deep expertise in relevant systems, tools, technologies; Significant knowledge and experience with system administration of Linux distributions Strong Scripting and/or Programming experience to support system administration activities and automation (i.e. Ansible, Python, BASH, Perl, Batch, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.) Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and version control such as Git Must possess or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date a valid IAT Level II or III DoD Approved 8140 (DoD 8570) certification such as Security, in good standing Demonstrated experience effectively performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment while developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships; collaboration, interpersonal, and teaming skills; Ability to work through technical, project, operational, and resource challenges. Proven business acumen to manage multiple assignments and projects with the ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and affordability Desired Skills: Active Top Secret security clearance with background investigation within 6 years Expertise with diverse Linux based distributions and tools such as Red Hat, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu, SuSE, etc. Security, CISSP, or other IAT Level II/III security certification; Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Linux or Red Hat Certifications Experience with containers and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Podman, LXC, Singularity/Apptainer, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Terraform, Ansible) C++/Java/Golang/C# Build System Knowledge Kubernetes Orchestration Experience Experience operating and maintaining secure operating system configurations on secure networks Experience in High Performance Computing (HPC) and associated tools such as SLURM, Warewulf, Lustre, and more Experience working in and maintaining Active Directory domains to include SSSD integration Experience building and/or working with hypervisors and in virtual environments, such as VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, etc. Experience with DevSecOps, containers, and orchestration, especially in HPC applications using Singularity, Docker, Shifter, Kubernetes etc. Experience developing and maintaining Linux baselines, including security settings and hardening Knowledge and experience implementing technical requirements on multiple operating systems for NISPOM Chapter-8, JAFAN, JSIG, DoD RMF, and other protection level caveats Understanding of routing/switching networking concepts Familiarity with engineering software and license mechanisms, particularly FlexLM Experience with Static Code Analysis Tools Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
