Summary:

This role specializes in employee relations and performance management. They will act as an internal consultant, guiding managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, and resolving workplace issues. They will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive work environment, improving employee performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Additionally, they will contribute to organizational effectiveness by implementing process improvements and developing and managing people programs.

Key Focuses:

  • Employee Relations:
    • Investigates and resolves employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
    • Guides managers and employees on how to navigate HR policies, procedures, and employee issues.
    • Develops and updates employee relations policies and procedures, as needed.
    • Maintains employee relations tracker and reports on trends; recommends solutions for improvements.

  • Performance Management:
    • Supports the PBPs and managers on Performance Improvement Plans (PIP)  by working with the PBPs to decide if a PIP is needed and, if so, helps the manager with the process (e.g. providing guidance on writing, managing timeline, and keeping the PBP informed of the status).
    • Tracks performance-related activities (e.g. PIPs, coaching, attendance), analyzes trends across the organization, and recommends solutions to improve the processes to enable managers to be more effective (e.g. training, templates, scripts). 
    • Partners with the People Team and PBPs on organizational initiatives and communications, as needed (e.g. this role will support the Semi-Annual review process and analyze performance trends across the organization). 

  • Additional Duties:

  • Oversee the offboarding process for departing employees, including processing terminations, completing exit Interviews, processing separation agreements, and sending offboarding emails.
  • Respond to emails in the People Team Inbox, addressing employee inquiries and concerns with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • In partnership with our People Tech, Compliance, and Compensation (PTTC) Team, help identify HR policies that need updates and revisions per regulatory or business needs and implement the policy across the business. 
  • In partnership with the business and People Team, find ways to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and make sure we’re always operating at our best.
  • As needed, program development and management, e.g. Employee Voice Survey, manager enablement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably as a Generalist Business Partner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices.
  • Experience in conducting employee relations investigations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Google Suite.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $67,500-$95,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
