This is a hybrid position supporting the in-person Engineering onboarding program. To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA in the Pacific Timezone and work a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
Your future team
We are seeking a Principal Program Manager to join the CTO Strategic Initiatives team. As a key member of this dynamic group, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of strategic programs in support of building a world class engineering organization. We operate and execute key programs within the North America region alongside the CTO Strategic Initiatives team. These programs include our Engineering onboarding program ( TEAM Camp which this role supports), early careers program, talent growth initiatives, and ShipIt (our internal innovation program).
What you’ll do
You have a versatile skill set encompassing all facets of program management, spanning from the initial stages to final delivery. Moreover, they must demonstrate ability to build strong partnerships with senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and technical tooling delivery teams.
- Manage the North America Engineering onboarding program and deliverables across global partners on a variety of program and business work streams. Bring clarity to drive decisions.
- Elicit and translate business requirements into technical specifications and tooling requirements, ensuring clear alignment between delivery and technical teams for our internal onboarding tool.
- Define goals and execute against key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of programs.
- Create stable, scalable, and sustainable programming across the Engineering job family and beyond.
- Experience with data analytics and insights, ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Provide regular updates and data reports, including progress against goals to stakeholders and executive audience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience across program management (background as a Technical Program Manager or Engineering Program Manager is preferred)
- Background in data analytics and insights, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience)
- Demonstrated experience and success leading high-impact, cross-functional programs.
- Expertise partnering with stakeholders on product strategy while leading roadmap creation, prioritization processes, and effective change management communication.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate’s skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $192,000 – $256,000
Zone B: $172,800 – $230,400
Zone C: $159,300 – $212,400
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
