Job Description

Position Overview:
The Product Manager applies process improvement and re-engineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects. Key responsibilities include: Providing activity and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices, creating and assessing performance measurements, and providing group facilitation, interviewing, and training. This role is contingent upon task order award. 
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead an airline passenger pre-screening program for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
  • Provide the expertise and understanding of complex vetting functionality, UI specifications, and reporting / data analytics within the Strategic Planning and Business Process Analysis/ Re-Engineering
  • Collaborate with the TSA functional team leads to develop new business requirements and technical architects to examine functional requirements in order to solution and design products that fit stakeholders’ needs
  • Understanding the data through analysis, guiding the stakeholder in developing requirement and acceptance criteria, and moving the designed product through the SAFe Agile process.
  • Provide deliverables for Business process analyses/re-engineering and business process mapping documentation and other related artifacts
  • Deliverables will include responsibility for Business process SOPs, Business requirements gathering and other related documentation, Business process studies, white papers, position papers, presentation packages, reports, and other related analytical products
  • Manage preparation for specific SAFe (Agile) events/ceremonies and their artifacts
  • As a Technical Team Lead you will be the Subject Matter Expert for the applications around the products you are managing
  • Provide the expertise and understanding of complex vetting functionality, UI specifications, and reporting / data analytics
  • Conduct preliminary evaluation of enterprise-wide initiatives and interdependencies (current state)
  • Convert strategy and priorities into tangible business requirements, prototypes, and design concepts
  • Provide the expertise and understanding of complex vetting functionality, UI specifications, and reporting / data analytics

Minimum Requirements:

  • Convert strategy and priorities into tangible business requirements, prototypes, and design concepts
  • Provide the expertise and understanding of complex vetting functionality, UI specifications, and reporting / data analytics
  • Develop the business case for new products and improvements to existing products
  • Experience building use cases and technically-focused specifications, data flow diagrams, etc.
  • Focus on technical elements, including mapping and integrating with multiple systems
  • Lead product requirement and vision discussions with customers and team
  • Review, analyze and prioritize voice of the customer feedback to incorporate user stories
  • Translate feature ideas into actionable product requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and provide the detail needed for architect, product owner, and scrum teams to estimate and execute on planned work
  • 8+ years demonstrated knowledge and experience as a Product Manager with its associated applications, solutions and project management
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Science or related field
  • Prior work experience within DHS and/or TSA preferred
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment
  • Minimum to start: Public Trust Clearance.
  • Existing Top Secret clearance is a plus, or Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to work onsite at the TSA HQ in Springfield, VA as requested
