We currently have a need for a Senior Network Architect to design next gen network solutions within a Global Network Infrastructure environment. This involves planning and developing solutions for crucial infrastructure initiatives to create and maintain a vision for the corporate network infrastructure. In addition, this role provides high-level technical guidance and support for the enterprise network structure, as well as mentorship and guidance for a team of engineers that troubleshoots and optimizes our networks.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement functional network infrastructure and systems using correct network diagrams and documentation
- Analyze and confirm the information demands and functional requirements in collaboration with internal and external customers
- Adopt network security measures after organizing, planning, and safeguarding data, software, and hardware
- Monitor network performance to identify necessary adjustments and improvements
- Cooperate with technology suppliers to offer business-focused solutions
- Provide technical leadership to teams working on deployment and support
- Ensure the stability of the working environment before, during, and after system updates
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional working connections with corporate and local teams
- Resolve issues escalated by lower support tiers and provide support for those tiers as needed
- Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network security and efficiency
- Utilize online resources and documentation to gain knowledge about new or unfamiliar technology
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in networking, networking security, or a closely related field
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience as an enterprise network engineer
- 7+ years of experience in network segmentation, URL filtering, and dynamic routing
- 5+ years of experience with firewalls and network security mechanisms
- Knowledge of network hardware and equipment (Cisco, VXLan, Citrix, Versa SDWAN, Palo Alto. Fortinet)
- Hands on experience with designing and implementing a SDWAN solution.
- Strong Knowledge and Experience with Data Center ACI and NSX technologies to provide SDN/SDDC solutions
- Knowledge of DNAC and enterprise-level networking
- Knowledge of the inner workings of the major network routing protocols, including dynamic routing
- Experience with a variety of firewalls, including the UTM environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of building, developing, and maintaining SD-WAN environments
- Must be able to travel at least once a month to sites throughout the Country.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current certifications in networking technologies like Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, or Meraki
Physical Demands:
- Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
- Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
