Job Description
Senior Product Test Analyst – NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Utilize mechanical engineering and biomechanics experience to execute research programs and test methodologies that will lead to technologically innovative footwear enabling NIKE, Inc. to drive performance innovation. Develop and manage human perception test programs focused on the consumer of NXT Footwear. Research endeavors such as enlarging and systematizing the organization’s knowledge base. Understand the limitations of technology and how to apply its capabilities. Develop proof of concept prototypes and devise methods for modeling, analyzing, and developing products and services. Manage all phases of test planning, execution, and analyzation of results. Perform biomechanical engineering duties to develop and test NIKE footwear. Conduct basic and applied research focused on footwear innovation initiatives that enhance performance or prevent injury. Participate in the development, design, and testing of new tools, methods, and procedures that will streamline data acquisition and drive future product innovations. Utilize unique skillset to implement biomechanical research tools to evaluate and create innovative concepts. Create inclusive research and testing plans which exceed the current capacity of footwear product testing. Develop customized testing specifications and ensure testing procedures are in compliance with internal and external standards.10% Domestic travel is required. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Must have a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, Biology or Kinesiology or a related field and the completion of a graduate-level course, research project, internship, or thesis or one (1) year of experience involving the following: Experience must include:
- Quantitative analysis
- Testing methodologies
- Technical writing
- Biomechanical analysis
- Product concept validation
- Technical footwear
- Shoe forensic inspection.
