About the Role:
The Verifications team builds and maintains the systems that power compliance, regulatory reporting, identity verification, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes across all Remitly products. As an SDE 2 on the team, you will lead the design and development of initiatives critical to our ability to stay within compliance of our regulating bodies as well as provide a world class experience for our customers. You will report to the Engineering Manager for Trust Platform in this role.
You Will:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Lead technical discussions, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and system design.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, improving system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to the evolution of our verification platform
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering
- Professional experience with one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Go.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $136,000 – $170,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
