About the Role

Rula’s mission is to make mental healthcare work for everyone. We are seeking a Sr. Medicare & Medicaid Manager to help Rula realize this mission and expand our services to Medicare and Medicaid members. This Sr. Medicare & Medicaid Manager will be responsible for helping Rula launch and grow both our Medicare, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage books of business nationally.

This role will be a mix of internal operations and external partner management, to ensure our launches and expansion are successful. The Sr. Medicare & Medicaid Manager will work directly with Rula’s Product, Billing, Support, Compliance and Provider teams to launch Medicare and Medicaid nationally and deliver an excellent experience for our patients, providers, and payer partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Deep experience with Medicare or Medicare Advantage program management, including familiarity with CMS regulations and compliance requirements 

  • Advanced expertise with Medicaid program management, including knowledge of state and federal laws/regulations related to Medicaid program administration

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of work experience

  • 5+ years of dedicated experience in healthcare industry, with acute knowledge of healthcare operations, policies, and procedures

  • Experience submitting applicants and enrolling providers groups for Medicare & Medicaid program management

  • Proficiency in managing complex projects and processes, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams, and juggling multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the proficiency to interpret data and make informed judgements to improve program performance

  • Strong instincts on how to set up processes that are efficient and will scale well, with knowledge in designing, documenting, training, and rolling out new initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience at a high growth start up

  • Past exposure in a consultancy capacity, working directly within mental health/behavioral health services, particularly in a Medicare/Medicaid context

  • Experience in a leadership role with at least one direct report

Compensation Range: $165.8K – $185.3K
