We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Dynamics Engineer to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX . If selected you will: Perform detailed finite element modeling, dynamic model reduction, coupled loads analysis, and evaluate results Perform analyses using commercial and in-house codes as well as write new simulation scripts, typically with Python Perform modal analysis on component Finite Element Analysis models in preparation for modal tests Perform vibroacoustic analysis on finite element models in preparation for acoustic and random vibration tests Identify critical modes for a component or integrated system Review and process modal and structural data (analytical and test) Develop or review test plans and procedures, documenting test results Signal Processing Perform other duties as required​ Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area Familiarity with desktop software applications, MS Office is required Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Finite element modeling experience Experience with Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++ Preferred Qualifications: Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
